Free Digital Dictation - Why type when you can talk!

Office 365 includes free dictation - follow these basic instructions to try it out!

Here's an example with Word

Open Microsoft Word and create or open a document.

  1. Position your cursor where you want to start dictating.
  2. Click the Dictate icon on the Home Ribbon.
  3. The first time you do this, Word may ask for permission to use your microphone. Grant permission.
  4. Start speaking, and your spoken words will appear as text in the document 12.

Remember, dictation is a quick and easy way to get your thoughts down, create drafts, and capture notes using your voice!
